About Safestore

Safestore is the UK’s largest self-storage provider, with 131 locations throughout the UK, catering to the modern needs of businesses and the public.

Our facilities are typically used by small local businesses and ‘start-ups’ looking for extra space or security for stock, as well as local residents and families who want to free up space or require storage when renovating or moving home.

Lots of small and medium-sized businesses are attracted by the all-inclusive and flexible terms we offer. These make our storage space an affordable and desirable option compared to traditional warehousing, and allow businesses to scale up or down as needed.

In 2001, Safestore opened the Old Jamaica Road store in Bermondsey, Southwark, situated within the rail arches. Today, the site provides storage to around 130 businesses.

There are also over 375 domestic customers using the facility, highlighting the important role it plays for local residents’ lifestyle needs.

With successful trading at the store since we opened over 20 years ago, we now want to build on this by expanding the store onto an adjacent site owned by Safestore.
